About Brandt

Brandt grew up in Chelan County, living in Wenatchee and Chelan. He graduated from Wenatchee High School, attended Wenatchee Valley College, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Policy from Washington State University.

Brandt has had a career in public service as a senior legislative assistant, a position he has held since 2011. During this time, he has worked under two elected members of the state legislature, representing Chelan County in Olympia. He serves alongside Representative Keith Goehner, a former Chelan County commissioner, who has enriched his understanding of effective governance and the dynamics between the state and county.

Brandt, a self-proclaimed policy nerd, has focused on natural resources and agriculture, specifically forests and fish, and protecting our agricultural economy. However, his career has also brought him experience in public safety, crime, mental health, property rights, housing affordability, and transportation policy.

Brandt's commitment to community service extends beyond his political career. He is an elected member of the Leadership Team at Columbia Grove Covenant Church and serves on the Wenatchee Okanogan National Forest Recreational Advisory Committee. His dedication to community service was recognized in the Wenatchee Valley Business World’s “30 Under 35” Class of 2020.

Brandt strives to be the person folks turn to when they feel wronged by their government. While he can’t solve every problem, he works hard to find the best possible outcome for our citizens. His heart for service is driven by his desire to ensure Chelan County is a thriving community where his children choose to live, work, and raise their families.

Brandt and his wife, Brittney, have made their home in the North Wenatchee area. They have three daughters, Savannah (6), Cassidy (2), and Kathryn, born this spring. They enjoy playing with their two Labradoodles, Scout and Jozee, fishing, camping, gardening, and raising laying hens in their free time.
